Jason took the kids out to breakfast for a couple of hours so that I could have a little time to myself. This is how Charlie was returned to me. Then, the three of them went to look at dogs at the animal shelter. God help me if I end this day with my more living thing than I started with.

Cookie Time
Nope, not the cookie manager this year! This is just the cookies that Amelia alone sold so far this year. The girl is motivated.

The freshly cut hair, the adorable headband, the missing teeth. I cannot even deal with the cuteness.

Charlie's Mardi Gras
We were able to squeak out a couple of grins from Charlie by giving him what we called a "baby beignet". Jason fried up some of the delicious desserts to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Maybe he wasn't all that impressed because he's had the real thing from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans.
Snow Day
I mean, who doesn't love a good snow day??
Actually, Charlie.
In proper Charlie style, he tolerated our antics. But there was no joy, no smiles really.
There was a lot of serious pondering and some confusion.
And then there are the other two, taking turns going down the snow covered stairs on an inflatable tube. To each their own I guess.

Chocolate Playdate
Amelia invited her friend, Natalie Prinsen, over for a playdate and movie night. She had decided to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and thought it would be fun to have a whole chocolate themed night. So, along with the movie, we dipped all kinds of delicious foods into chocolate fondue.
Then, while the ladies watched the movie, we did a chocolate cleansing facial!
