We've been spending a LOT of time here.

Now Playing: Attack of the Baby Brother

Nope, not even a pesky little brother can take her attention off movie night.

Soccer Camp 2012

As if $15 for a long week summer soccer camp wasn't enough, each kid also got a t-shirt and a snow cone after each practice.  Then, on the last day of camp, the fire department came and rigged this set up for the campers to play in!  It was amazing, although I am unsure why I even put Amelia in her shin guards and cleats.  Note to self: next year, bring a towel on the last day of soccer camp.

Add blackberries to the list of "Fruits we've picked".  That list now includes: strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, and apples.

Father's Day weekend at the Farm 2012

It is now a bit of a tradition to head to Jason's Uncle Kevin's farm near Hermann, MO each Father's Day weekend.  It is a dream come true for the kids to see all of the animals, ride all of the machinery, fish, and swim.

He wasn't quite ready to get off of the tractor....

That's better.

Such a long, fun day for all of us!

Baby's First Movie!

Amelia and I have this little habit of saying, "Baby's First __________" in a very excited voice every time Henry does something for the first time.  Examples: "Baby's First Library Book!" or "Baby's First Time Using the Frog Towel!" or "Baby's First Time Throwing Up in the Toilet!".  I wish these weren't actual examples......

The fact that he is no longer a baby, makes this all the more funnier for her. Here are some pictures from Baby's First Movie!

Henry's first movie was "Winnie the Pooh".  It was showing at the movie theatre as one of the free summer movies for the summer.  The fact that it was free and only 63 minutes long made it the perfect first movie theatre experience!  He did great and even sat on his sister's lap for part of the show.  These two crack me up!

I think Henry was able to get one other free movie in over the summer. What a great program!  I think we will be taking more advantage of it next summer when everyone's attention span is a little bit longer!

American Girl Store Part 2

Just a week after Amelia's birthday, her friend Natalie turned 6.  Amelia was lucky enough to be on the invite list for Natalie's American Girl Store party.  The girls had a great time with their dolls and some fancy food.  They girls even made a little sleeping bag for their dolls.  While Amelia was there, she used some of her birthday money to buy Kit some much needed eyeglasses.

Natalie and Mirabelle

All the ladies.

Amelia was completely wiped post party.  Poor girl had a very busy couple of weeks.  She fell asleep on the way home--which would explain her super crazy party behavior, at least in part.

Two trips to the American Girl Store in a little over a week was more than enough for us!  Whew that place is crazy!

Flippin' Gymnastics Meet

Amelia had her first taste of gymnastics this year.  She enjoyed it and showed lots of progress from her first class to her last.  There was a little end-of-the-year performance where each gymnasts did a short routine on each of the various apparatuses (yep, that's right, I looked it up).

She never really took gymnastics too seriously, preferring to goof and socialize with the other girls.  On performance night, though, she was especially attentive and it was hard to catch any glimpses of her smiling.

All business on the bars.

She did great and we were so proud of her!  It is not easy to get up in front of a large group of people and perform!

Amelia and her teacher, Ms. Ashley.

Her buddy, Kylie, was also performing that night.

We decided to celebrate post performance at DQ for a little dilly bar/dipped cone action.  Henry promptly spilled some of his dilly bar chocolate on his shorts.  No worries, though, no chocolate was wasted.

Amelia insisted on bringing in her flowers with her.  She watched all of the other gymnasts get flowers immediately following the performance and didn't think she was going to get any.  Once we handed her bouquet to her, there was no way she was putting it down!
