Amelia is quite into Harry Potter these days. I am not sure how it happened, but it came on quickly! We've read Book 1 and then one day she exclaimed, "I don't really like Peter Pan anymore. I like Harry Potter!". What is it with this girl and her Brit Lit?
She spotted these glasses at my mom's house and immediately said, "Look mom! I'm Harry Potter". They were her great grandfather's glasses. Or was it great, great grandfather? Anyway, she has grand plans to use them for Halloween. You'll NEVER guess what she wants to be...

Vacuum Packed
Somewhere between the months of April and May, Henry went from being terrified of the vacuum to insisting on doing the vacuuming any time it needs to be done.
And he's actually quite good!

Easter 2012
Well, the Easter Bunny was up to his old tricks again this year. He set up his usual photo scavenger hunt for both Amelia AND Henry this year. It is always very, very popular and really fun to watch (not to mention a great workout!).
The Easter Bunny gave each child a picture clue to start. Once they found that object, another picture was waiting for them. He used all three levels of our house and even put a clue outside. Amelia's pictures were a little more difficult this year. Many were close ups of objects meant to trick her. Not a single clue slowed her down though....
At the end of it all, Amelia's basket was on the back of my car and Henry's basket was inside Jason's car.
Henry was pretty happy with his haul: new hotwheels, new PJ's, new book, new chalk, a glow sword, and lots of candy. Amelia's was much of the same with matching PJ's for her and Kit, a new book, a glow wand, and a little Lego-like doll.
After lots of Easter fun at our house, we headed to Jason's parents to celebrate with the Sinovich side of the family. I worked pretty hard to get us all color coordinated this year.
Amelia has had her eye on Grandma's Caboodle since she first saw it. Grandma kindly gifted her the Caboodle as her Easter basket this year. Amelia was beyond thrilled! I used to have one when I was younger too. Brings back some memories!

Then, it was time to hunt for eggs!
And check out what was inside!
Henry was trying to sneak some candy when he thought we weren't looking. We were.

Henry spent some time trying to explain matchbox cars to Evan.
And Amelia had a blast hanging out with Olivia.
Then, it was time to hunt more eggs!
And try out Great Grandma's walker. A big hit with Henry! After all, it has wheels!
House #3 of the day was GG and Papa's. We started with the egg hunt there.
And then Henry helped Papa with some yard work.

Egg Dying Eggstravaganza
Here are the obligatory Egg Dying pictures from Easter 2012.
Jason is upset that he didn't get to dye any eggs. Darn kids. Henry's worried about the egg he most likely just threw into the mug.
Amelia dyed a pink egg. What a shock.

Easter Village
We like Purina Farms, but the best time of year to go is definitely during the Easter Village in the spring.
Amelia "loved" smelling all of the interesting animal scents.
