(Un)Heartbreak Kid

So last Valentine's Day, I thought I'd wisely purchase a shirt for pennies on the dollar for Henry to wear next Valentine's Day. Giving myself a little pat on the back for my thriftiness, I pulled the shirt out this year for Henry to wear to his pre-school party.

Me: I have this shirt for you to wear today!

Henry: What does it say? What's wrong with that heart?

Me: It says heartbreak kid.

Henry: What does that mean?

Me:  It is kind of a joke, but it means that you are so handsome that you will break lots of girl's hearts.

Henry: I don't like that.  That is not nice.  I am not wearing that shirt!

Me: ...........

Nothing like getting schooled on appropriate relationships by your pre-schooler.

Amelia's Valentine gift to Jason was a nice sign for his workbench area!

Our gift to ourselves was tickets to see G. Love and Special Sauce (more Jason's thing than mine), but it did come with dinner out together and some very good crab rangoon!

Florida 2015: Day 6

My "please don't make me leave this place and go back to reality" picture.

It didn't work.

Florida 2015: Day 5

It was another bright and early day in Orlando on Day 5.  We had plans to get to Hollywood Studios before the park opened and luckily all the kids were up quite early--well before they needed to be.

It was pretty exciting to start the day with one less tooth!

The stunt show featuring Lightning McQueen was a huge highlight for Henry.  No surprises there!

This girl was finally tall enough to check out Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster.  She LOVED it!  Everyone did, in fact.  I was stuck sitting with the other two kids during their ride.  However, they thought it was so much fun Amelia talked me into getting back in line and seeing for myself.  It was definitely worth the 40 minute wait!  It might be my most favorite ride in all of Disney World!

Another favorite ride is the Tower of Terror.  These two brave kids rode it over and over again.  They couldn't get enough!

My mother in law generously strolled Charlie around the park to get him to fall asleep.  I love this picture she got during that time!

Toy Story Mania was a fun ride that we could ALL go on together!

Meeting Mike and Sully was fun!  They loved seeing Charlie in his Mike costume.  Charlie pretty much didn't take his eyes off of them.  Nor did he smile.

Who is more tired?

We loved our Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel, even if the photo is just so-so.

We opted to leave the park in late afternoon, spend some time resting at the hotel, and then staying up late to catch the movie by the pool.  Time well spent!

Florida 2015: Day 4

Well, Day 4 was predicted to be cold and rainy.  We opted to skip any parks that day and instead head to the shopping area formerly known as Downtown Disney.  They were going through a big renovation while we were visiting.  Next time we go, it will be called Disney Springs!

Henry had to sit on the Harley Davidson bike in the window.  Not sure what's going on with Amelia's pose....

Most of the rest of our time was spent at the Lego store.

The kids all seemed to enjoy the various Lego creations.

Especially Charlie.  That face SCREAMS joy, doesn't it?

Florida 2015: Day 3

Day 3 took us to the Magic Kingdom!  Despite this being Amelia's 4th and Henry's 3rd Disney visit, it was still quite magical.  Henry was feeling it the second we stepped up to watch the Welcome show right before they opened the park.

Clearly, GG loved every single minute on the carousel.

We had our first experience with Enchanted Tales with Belle.  Nearly half of our group received roles in the tale.  Jason was a brave knight.

 Amelia was the wardrobe.

Henry was the proudest little pepper shaker you ever saw!

While waiting in line to see Mickey, Amelia took the opportunity to work on loosening her tooth.  She ended up loosing it later that night once we were back at our Florida home!

Meeting Mickey was a little different for us this time.  He talks now, which is......weird!  And there was no Minnie Mouse in sight which was a little disappointing.

 Matching shirts courtesy of GG!

As you can see, Charlie was THRILLED about his first Mickey ice cream bar.  And who's the fellow in the back??

He quickly learned about the Mickey bars though!

Until next time, Magic Kingdom!
