Florida: Day Five

Day 5 was our final day in Florida.  And it was a half day, at that.  Jason got up and left in the morning for his conference so it was just us girls and Henry.  We started again with breakfast and coffee on the porch.  Then, I brought out some bubbles I had packed for the kids to play with. 

There is nothing cooler than rose-scented princess bubbles according to Henry.  Amelia, however, was too cool for school.

She spent the morning playing with the souvenir she picked out the night before--her beloved, Pascal.

This nosy bird stopped by for a bit to see what all of the commotion was about.

Probably the highlight for the WHOLE trip for Henry was renting a golf cart for a day.  It was a major splurge (seriously to rent this cart for 24 hours was more than the daily rate to rent a CAR) and completely unnecessary. But, it was sure fun!  Like really, really fun.  Even for me!  And Henry could have sat in that seat all day and driven around the property.  We had to take the golf cart back mid-morning so we tried to get our money's worth with a few more trips around the campground.

Amelia and I took one more dip in the pool while Henry napped back at the cabin.  Then, it was time for us to check out.  With no cabin to hang out in and no golf cart to ride in, we headed to the playground.  At 1 o'clock in the afternoon.  In 92 degree weather.

Luckily, the hula hoops helped us kill some time. 

And eventually we made it to the Magical Express to head back to the airport.  Amelia looks like she has a third degree burn, but I assure you she was slathered with sunscreen from head to toe and that is just her normal face when she comes in from being outside in the heat and sun.  Such is the life of a fair skinned child.

And that is my LAST Disney picture from the 2012 trip!  Even though it was a short trip, we had an amazing time and took full advantage of staying on Disney property.  We were so lucky to share it with our moms and it was totally worth Amelia missing a couple of days of kindergarten.  Yes, a magical place indeed!
